Short Story - My Mother

It was one of those winters. Those winters where the obstreperous wind blew right\n by means of you, alike(p) it knew all your secrets. The trees shivered in the cold, amused, daring\nyou to fight back. She looked so peaceful.\nQuiet, but only content. I smiled at her, and whence she looked at me.\nIts gonna be a cold one today, she said, looking out the window now. Her\n velvet-textured voice soothed my spirits.
